Schlusswort zum dritten Konzeptalbum

Ein Jahr ist es nun her, als die Schreibarbeiten für Better Together Than Never Alone begannen. Mittlerweile sind es 17 Songs, viele schöne Erinnerungen an Konzerte, eine gehörige Portion Berufsleben und ein noch immer nicht abgeschlossenes Diplom. Äh, das sollte da nicht rein. Egal, weiter im Text… zu lernen gab es eine Menge und ich danke Stine, Matze, George, Silvi, Sandra, Alex aus Dresden, den Out Of Order Helden Mario und Alex, Last Summer Mitstreitern Melle und Jens, dem Marian Team, Markus und Judith aus Hamburg und allen anderen (die ich hier mutwillig vergesse) für die Einflüsse und verbrachte Zeit. Ansonsten lässt sich nur das übliche sagen – weiter geht es mit neuen Perspektiven, alten Zielen (Diplom und Album) die immer noch nicht ganz verwirklicht sind, aber sowieso keine Chance mehr haben sich weiter zu sträuben. Wir sehen uns in einem Jahr wieder an dieser Stelle für das nächste Fazit…

Mal was ganz anderes

Da das Songwriting wie so ziemlich alles im diesjährigen Sommerloch gelitten hat und ich keine Ahnung hatte, wie sich die Situation verbessern lässt, habe ich mir gedacht: einfach mal was anderes machen. Naja, was anderes ist auch nicht richtig. Als ich vor 8 oder 9 Jahren mit Musik angefangen habe, hab ich zwar auch schon Songs geschrieben, aber die waren komplett als Instrumentalstücke gedacht und jede Note im Arrangement per Midi festgehalten. Ganz so penibel und zeitintensiv wird das so sicher nicht mehr passieren, aber mit ein paar schönen Akkorden habe ich mir vorgenommen für den Abschluss von Better Together Than Never Alone ein kleines Stück mit dem Namen “Gone With The Wind” zu kreieren. Ist Gott sei Dank noch nicht fertig, weshalb ich mir (oder besser euch!) die obligatorische Album-Abschlussrede an dieser Stelle ersparen kann. Aber keine Angst – die kommt noch. ;)
